WHAT WE DO
MMI Essex Chapter: Our mission continues to be to support members of the community with social welfare issues, including integration. As a group, we use a place-based approach where we aim to build bridges, share best practice and experiences as well as develop networks in the community we live in. We also aim to promote Ibibio culture and heritage using our art, dance, and traditions to enhance community cohesion.
Membership: Membership of MMI is open to all sons and daughters of Ibibio origin by birth or marriage.
Where and When we Meet: We meet as an organisation at The Old School, Gubbins Lane, Harold Wood, Romford RM3 0QA. Our meeting day is every 3rd Saturday of the month from 6pm to 9pm.
This year, we have decided to focus on building our networks in the community, getting involved in projects, events, and activities, supporting community endeavors while promoting our culture.
We would like to ask that you add us to your mailing list and inform us of any events, projects and activities where we can support your organisation to reach a wider audience and therefore continue to enable integration.
You are welcome to join us at one of our meetings. Please ask for more details if you would like to join us.
