Havering Carers Hub - Care Support

Do you provide 'unpaid' care to friends or family member who due to a lifelong condition, fraility, illness, disability, serious injury, mental health issues or dementia and feel you are unable to cope without support. Are you an Adult Carer who looks after someone over the age of 18 years and one of you reside in the Borough of Havering? The Havering Carers' Hub are here to support you.

If you are a Carer or you know someone that is and needs support, this is the time to share your thoughts and concerns with us.

Caring can be an extremely rewarding experience but can also be very complicated, whether it is grappling with understanding and navigating through the benefits and social care systems, how to pay for care, getting a carer's assessment which looks at what support might be needed, or how to improve well-being and access valuable emotional support. Many unpaid carers do not realise they are a carers - the reality is that there is a 50 - 50 chance that any one of us will become one at some point during our lifetime.

The Carers' Hub Team, are able to give valuable advice and support about other services as well as assist with informal advocacy where help is needed to voice opinions and concerns.

Regular Carer Forums, Support Groups and Carer Celebrations are held throughout the year, to keep Carers connected and less isolated.

You can contact the Carers' Hub on 01708 961111 or email us at: info@haveringcarershub.org.uk
